Construction is chugging along at 900 Innes, with a lot of progress made this past month. We began pouring Lithocrete on Piers 1 and 2, which is the first step in the installation of the Lady Bayview art piece! Steel work at the shop and food buildings continues, while concrete walls were poured for the maintenance building. Installation of utilities at the restroom also continues, while utility work, waterproofing and rebar installation is occurring at Shipwright's Cottage. Finally, the east marine rails have been completed while the western marine rails are close to finishing.
Please note that the contractor at 900 Innes is currently implementing afternoon and evening swing shifts from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, as well as on Saturdays during normal work hours. These additional work hours will continue through the end of November. We appreciate the community’s support as we work to deliver this once-in-a-generation environmental justice project.
