Opening of India Basin Waterfront Park at 900 Innes Avenue on October 19

The partners of the India Basin Waterfront Park project—including the Trust for Public Land, San Francisco Parks Alliance, A. Philip Randolph Institute, San Francisco Recreation and Parks, San Francisco Foundation, and the Bayview-Hunters Point community—invite you to the opening of India Basin Waterfront Park at 900 Innes Avenue on Saturday, October 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Opening remarks will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Join us for a vibrant celebration of the new park and the Bayview-Hunters Point community featuring free food through the park's new food pavilion managed by En2Action; row boats for visitors to take out on the water with Rocking the Boat; live performances hosted by the Ruth Williams Opera House, an art activity with the park's new Artist in Residence, resources connecting people to programs in the project's Equitable Development Plan, and more.

As part of the festivities, the adjacent India Basin Shoreline Park (Hunters Point Boulevard and Hawes Street) will host Fall Fest, an annual event with a local vendor market, DJ, pumpkin patch, food, art activities, a health zone, and recreational fun for all.

For attendees driving to the event, we recommend parking at Arelious Walker Drive, a block south of the park. If full, we recommend parking at Fairfax Avenue between Keith and Mendell streets. There will be a shuttle service at Fairfax Avenue and Keith Street.

Check out the September India Basin Waterfront Park newsletter for events, programs and updates on the project.
